Die Cuttin' Divas- Snowman Challenge #200!

Hi Crafty Friends!

How is your week shaping up so far? I hope you all had a great weekend. We did here. We began our Spring Cleaning, which will take months. haha. I'm so scatter brained I move from project to project. I need my husband to remind me which way is up sometimes. I am still working on my craft closet. I really want a craft room. Our next house... it is a must. Even my husband says so. He just hates seeing all of my stuff. haha I am a scatterer. Anyway, enough about my bad habits.

This week at the Die Cuttin' Divas our challenge is to make a project with a snowman. I am on my Valentine's Day kick already, so I made my card with a love theme :) I found my die cut SVG through a google search. I used the Snow Couple Kissing. I used sharpie to edge the pieces and add detail. I also used a Wink of Stella pen on the bodies and chalk on the cheeks. Glossy Accents on the melting snow and the eyes. All of my paper came from the Paper Studio. Aren't they just adorable? I love these guys!

Well I hope you all liked my card. Thanks for reading :) I hope to see all of your snowmen projects over at the Die Cuttin' Divas! Don't forget your die cuts :) Let me know what you think. Have a good week!

Die Cuttin Divas- Cheer Up Challenge #199!

Hello fabulous crafters!

I hope you all are doing wonderful!  This week at the Die Cuttin' Divas we are making projects to cheer you up. I love a happy project and I think mine is pretty cheerful :)

I used some Kelly Purkey dies for the hearts. To be honest I have never had so much trouble with a die before. They were a little too flimsy. The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. and the black is a die cut border I pieced around the image.

I hope this Cheers You Up! I would love to see what you all create that's cheerful. Don't forget the die cut when you submit to the Die Cuttin' Divas. Thanks for reading you all! Let me know what you think!

Love to Scrap Challenge #46 Anything Goes!

Hey Everybody!

I hope this holiday has found you all well. I love 3 day weekends! Not only are they extended weekends, but then shortened weeks as well. I have some family visiting which is very nice. I did get to get some crafting done. I really don't craft as much as I would like. I am such a messy crafter it discourages me from making more. I need a new system. Do you all have any tips?

Any-hoo This week at LTSCB we are having an Anything Goes Challenge! I love these! I also got the pleasure of working with some amazing digi stamps from River City Rubber Works.  I chose the Penguin Heart collection and they are sooo adorable!  I love coloring in these images on my computer. I also like that some came pre-colored. The "Love You" sentiment is a part of this set, and I created the "just the way you are" on my computer. There was definitely some Stickles used, and a die.  I also used some super fun Colorbok paper for this card, along with some fiber paper.

I will tell you all, I love Christmas, but Valentine's Day is my 2nd favorite! I love giving gifts and making cards. I am far more likely to give out cards and gifts in February than I am in December. I tell you  this so you will all understand, that there will be many many love cards to come :)

I hope you all like this card. I had a blast making this quirky lady. Dont' forget to submit your projects with us at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog, and while you're at it check out River City Rubber Works. Thanks for reading! Let me know what you all think :)

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #198-Picure Challenge

Hey there Crafty People!

I hope all is fine in your neck of the woods. I'd like to apologize for my late posting. I tend to be a procrastinator, but this week I was at a loss for crafty mojo. I love the picture inspiration this week at the Die Cuttin' Divas, but I had so many ideas and none were really working. When you throw a sick kid into the mix, you get a card not finished until midnight. I am really happy with how it has ended up though.

I had some help from the other DT members on how to interpret the picture into my failed attempts, and finally I saw in my mind the project I wanted to create. Every single element of this card with the exception of the dies used and the stamp with ink, is from The Paper Studio. The dies are a nesting set that I received with my WRMK Evolution Advanced. I really love this color combination, and though it's not a direct interpretation, it is inspired by that picture.

I hope you all have a very crafty week! I'd love you see you all link your inspired by that beautiful picture projects up with us at the  Die Cuttin' Divas! (don't forget the die cut!) Thanks for reading you all!! :)

Die Cuttin' Divas #197 January Sketch Challenge

Hi there Crafty Friends!
Today brings us a new challenge in the new year at the Die Cuttin' Divas. This is a sketch challenge. I have come to realize that a sketch challenge can be the easiest and the hardest challenge depending on the day. haha. Some days they give you all the inspiration you need, but other days you have to try really hard to come up with something different. I felt that my cards had started to look the same, so I decided to change it up.  Using some Sizzix dies I had gotten on clearance at Michael's I made some paper flowers. They aren't the best as I couldn't find my quilling tool, so I had to roll them by hand. I also used some nested oval dies and colored wooden dots with a sharpie.  I felt I really got to be creative in some processes on this card, like that vellum strip, it was really hard to line up once it was cut.

I made this card for my best friend's 30th birthday. I hope she loves it. Let me know what you guys think. Don't forget to join us at the Die Cuttin' Divas for this super fun sketch challenge, and don't forget the die cut! Thanks for reading everyone :)

Love To Scrap! Challenge #45 Initial Challenge of 2015

Hello My Favorite Crafty Friends!!
I hope all is well with you in this bright new year. Did you make any resolutions? I still haven't had the chance to write all of mine down. I feel that 2015 is going to be an amazing year! I pray that each of you have that feeling as well. It is so great to be full of hope and I love the prospect of a fresh start in a new year. I am also really excited about all of the new crafty challenges coming up. Our first challenge of the year at Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog is the Initial Challenge of 2015, where you to create a project using something beginning with at least one letter of our challenge blog initials (L, T, S, C or B).  Isn't that so cute? I love this challenge. (I know I say this every time, but it really is true.)

In this challenge I used the letters "L" "S" and "C". For "L" I have Lace and Layers, for "S" I have Sunshine, and for "C" I have Colorful Cardstock. This amazing image is from Eat Cake Graphics, it's the "Girl at Window" image.  It was so much fun coloring with my Spectrum Noirs. I LOVE Christmas, but it was nice to get back to normal bright colored papers.

The patterned paper is from a "Best Of" Amy Tangerine from Michael's. The solid ones are both from The Paper Studio. The lace is from a dollar pack at Michael's.

This sentiment stamp came from a monthly kit from Unity Stamp Co. I used Glossy Accents to make the letters really pop.

I love fun cards. I hope you all like it too :) And don't forget about our Initial Challenge of 2015, where we challenge you to create a project using an item beginning with at least one letter of our challenge blog initials (L, T, S, C or B)! ;)
And please state what item(s) you used in your blog post! I can't wait to see what you all create :) Thanks for reading!!
